Originally from the Midwest, I attended Iowa State University to study Art & Design. I graduated in 2013 with a specialty Bachelor of Fine Arts in Integrated Studio Arts & Design with a focus in Sustainable Textiles & Fabrics.
I've been upcycling, DIYing, thrift flipping, and basically customizing everything I own since I've been 10 years old... which has now been for almost 25 years! ☺
One of my dreams has always been to share my many years of wisdom in the fashion industry + unique perspective and experiences with textiles - with as many people as possible! And now this online zine allows me to reach YOU & every one with an internet connection, WORLD WIDE!
This online zine was 100% created authentically and organically by a human, myself, Kelsey.**
Every word typed, written; Every image posted; Every graphic created - IS 100% ORIGINALLY MINE!**

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Immediately after graduation, I earned one of the best opportunities of my life: a PAID internship in New York City!
I was blessed to live in the most gorgeous Brooklyn Heights in internship housing, with the view of the New York City Skyline, and commute IN TO the city on a daily basis for the summer - was the most invaluable experience of a lifetime!
After my internship ended in Textile Research & Development (R&D) for Coldwater Creek, in the beautiful Soho Design Studio above PRADA, I immediately got hired at Bernard CHAUS/Vince Camuto (Now BCI Brands)
Also in Textile R&D for the about the first 6 months, then quickly promoted to work directly under the Vice President of Production. My new role as a Global Fabric Production Manager was truly eye opening! In more ways than you may think...
